Prague or Vienna--Which is the better destination?

My family is planning a trip to either Prague or Vienna, only one since we are tight on time and would like to go and relax. We will be going at the start of september. The family has 2 older teenage kids, so that should be kept in mind. Where is there more to do/see? Do you know other affordable better European destinations?
